Martin and Sharon graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Education, respectively. After serving in the pastorate at Grace Baptist Church, Milford, CT, for 3 years, they planted a church in Madison, CT. From 1980 till 1995, they served as church planting missionaries in German language in Austria, Europe. Since then, they have been ministering in local churches in Connecticut and Europe.
Sharon has an M.A. in Human Resource Leadership from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA. She is also a certified Victim Relief Chaplain and mediator. Martin has taught material from Freedom in Christ (Neil Anderson) and PREP (conflict resolution for couples).
They have also used Prepare/Enrich materials to reconcile married couples. Sharon is certified as an MBTI (Myers Briggs Temperament Inventory) and PAIRS counselor.
Mary Thompson has been a spiritual counselor and prayer warrior for many years. She and Sharon Van Horn prayed daily for six months that a church be born in Madison, Connecticut, and God answered. She has prayed her family through many crises and has seen many surprizing victories.
Now she serves on the Board of Directors of Life Connections, Inc. She is a certified teacher at her church in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a marriage mentor along with her husband, Richard.

Life flows through the human body: from cell to cell, from heart to toe, from thought to thought. Even so, social life envigorates the individual by connecting people who stimulate and encourage each other. This is the pattern the Creator built into the world we know.
He Himself is constantly sharing from Father to Son to Spirit to creatures. This God wants to connect with people and make them His family. So envigorating is this contact that Jesus says, "This is eternal life: to know and experience the Father and the one He sent, Jesus."
